THE MESSAGE FROM 1851
I’ve done this work for my Design class. We were tasked to design a visually engaging publication for the first world’s fair using Owen Jones Grammar of Ornaments and the Encyclopedia of Illustration as a graphic standards.
The Great Exhibition of the Works of Industry of all Nations was an international exhibition that took place in Hyde Park, London, from May 1st to October 11th, 1851. It was the first in a series of World's Fair exhibitions of culture and industry that were to become a popular 19th-century feature.
